Adrian Norris
Associate Conductor, Director of Wind Ensembles


Adrian has been a professional French Horn player for nearly forty years with BBC orchestras. In that time he has also played with all the other major London orchestras and many more outside the capital city. His work has taken him to many European countries, the USA and Japan on numerous occasions. Besides associations with the larger orchestras, Adrian has also played principal horn in many chamber orchestras and chamber groups. The range of music he has played has been varied including classical, ballet, jazz, light music and big band. He has deputised in many London West End shows and made many live performances and recordings for radio, television and CDs. As well as playing, he has also taught in Local Authority and private schools throughout his career providing individual tuition and guidance as band master. Other work in schools has been undertaken as a member of small groups from the BBC Concert Orchestra, as they supported children with major music projects involving them in composing, arranging and performing. Adrian is currently a member of the Gwinnett Symphony Orchestra, Peachtree Symphonic Winds, and is also a founder member of the Gwinnett Horn Quartet.
