
Linda Williams
Concertmaster, Orchestra Coach
Linda Williams received her degree in music from Georgia State University and has taught privately for over 25 years. She is a professional violinist who has performed with the Appalachian Chamber Orchestra, Lagrange Symphony, Gainesville Symphony,Rome Sympony, North Georgia Chamber Orchestra, Northeast Atlanta Ballet Orchestra, Capital City Opera Orchestra, Gwinnett Symphony, Columbus Symphony, Poulenc String Quartet, Atlantis Quartet, Wedding Music Atlanta, Da Salo Orchestra, Augusta Symphony and is the current first violinist and manager of the Georgia String Ensemble. She is also a recording artist that has recorded with Babbie Mason, Herb Kraft, Tom Elliott, Lisa Klausman, Nutria, as well as performed on stage with Michael Card, Michael W Smith, Babbie Mason, Adlan Cruz, Marie Osmond, Florence Henderson, John Barry, John Denver and many others. She has traveled with performing groups to Canada as well as Central America.
Linda studied with such notable teachers as William Preucil (Concert Master Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, Cleveland Symphony and Cleveland Quartet), Vincent Frittelli (Associate Concert Master Atlanta Symphony Orchestra) and Alice Oglesby (Atlanta Symphony Orchestra).
Linda also received Suzuki certification and training at institutes in Chicago, Wisconsin and Virginia. Linda is a full-time professional violinist that shares her love of performing with her students and encourages them in their love of music regardless of whether they choose to pursue it as a career or as a future educated patron of the arts. Linda is happy to be performing with the Gwinnett Symphony and coaching young talent as they persue their musical education.
