Take part in one of Johns Creek’s hallmark holiday experiences as the GSO Chorus, GSO and Johns Creek Christian Church Choir present selected suites from Shaw’s The Many Moods of Christmas December 9, 2012, at 5:30 p.m. GSOC Music Director Rick Smith and GSOC Associate Conductor Barton Gilleland will lead the vocal forces of two chorales and brilliant orchestra in your favorite holiday classics – Sleigh Ride, O Holy Night and others. Attendance is free, however, attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable food for area food banks. Take part in Gwinnett Symphony Orchestra & Chorus’ holiday experience “SHIVER – A Family Christmas Concert”, Monday, December 17, 2012, 7:00pm, Performing Arts Center at Gwinnett Center, 6400 Sugarloaf Parkway, Duluth, Georgia 30097. Join us on a high-speed winter wonderland adventure with a few special stops along the way! Conductors Robert Trocina, Rick Smith and Gregory Pritchard will lead the mass ensembles in your favorite holiday classics; including selections from Polar Express, The Many Moods of Christmas, Ukrainian Bell Carol, O Holy Night & Sleigh Ride! Soloists will include violinist Nancy Schechter performing “Winter” from The Four Seasons, alto Lynn Renshaw performing The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire), and Northeast Atlanta Ballet Dancers on “Snow Pas” from The Nutcracker. Let the Gwinnett Symphony Orchestra & Chorus enhance the joyous holiday season for you and your family.
